A National Apprenticeship Program
To become a skilled culinary professional, hands-on experience is a must. Association of Professional Chefs of America (APCA) operates two and three year apprenticeship programs that combine on-the-job training with technical classroom instruction.
Joining an APCAEF Apprenticeship Program
Pathway 1 – Educational Institution

Apprentice Fees
Apprentice fees vary by program to incorporate administration, operating and maintenance fees. Apprentice fees include:
- APCA Apprenticeship Portal access for apprentice and supervising chef.
- APCA national student membership.
- Access to free webinars and recorded presentations on the APCA Online Learning Center.
- APCA certification fees for the corresponding level, including access to the practice written exam.
